Terms and Conditions of Sale

Thank you for visiting our website and choosing to make a purchase.  The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions conducted on our website:

Pricing

All prices are in U.S. Dollars. You agree to pay the price that is stated in your order, as well as any applicable taxes and shipping expenses. The prices charged for merchandise on this website are subject to change. It can happen that the price of an item changes between the time you add it to your shopping cart and the time you eventually check out. Occasionally, an item may be mispriced on the website. In that case, the mispriced item would appear at the incorrect price even upon checkout. If the correct price of an item is higher than the price shown on the website or at checkout, Vendor may, in its sole discretion, do any one of the following: (1) reach out to you (by telephone, email or otherwise) before shipping the item to notify you of the correct price and receive instructions from you as to whether you still want to purchase the item at the correct price; (2) cancel the order and notify you of the cancellation; or (3) ship the item to you at the incorrect price. No contract will have been formed between you and Vendor until Vendor has charged your credit or debit card, or otherwise processed your payment.

Payment

Vendor only accepts payment from verified PayPal accounts.  The final invoice price will include any applicable sales tax as required by law.

Product Descriptions

Vendor attempts to make the descriptions of its products as accurate as possible. However, Vendor does not warrant that the descriptions or other content on this website (such as ratings or reviews) are accurate, reliable, complete, or current.  If you receive an item from Vendor that is not as it was described on the website (e.g., the wrong title), then your sole remedy is to return it in its original condition (i.e., unused) for a refund.

Back Order or Limited Availability Items

Not all items shown on the website are available at any given time. Some items shown on the website may be on back order or we may only have a very limited quantity on hand.  Rain checks are not currently available in such situations.

Shipping and Handling Fees

Shipping options and applicable charges for our customers will be stated during the order process.  The U.S. Postal Service delivers to P.O. boxes, but this method may delay your order. Please note that Next Business Day and 2nd Business Day shipping options, if offered by Vendor, are not available for delivery to P.O. boxes. Vendor shall add the appropriate charges for the shipping method selected by the customer, together with fee for any additional services requested (e.g., gift wrapping or rush shipping), and any applicable sales tax. We only ship within the continental (lower 48) United States.

The Risk of Loss; Delays

The risk of loss and title for all items purchased from Vendor’s website pass to purchaser upon delivery of the item to the carrier.  Insurance may be available purchaser at an additional cost. If an item is lost in transit or arrives in a damaged condition, then customer is responsible for filing a claim with the carrier (US Postal Service, USPS, etc.).

Stated shipping times and delivery estimates are only estimates and are not binding.  If a product becomes unavailable between ordering and processing, we will cancel your order and attempt to notify you using the contact information provided in connection with your order.

All Sales Are Final

All sales are final. Your order, once confirmed by Vendor, is a binding obligation. You may not return an item purchased simply because you or your child does not like it, or because you have accidentally ordered a duplicate copy. We do not offer exchanges.

Once an order has been placed and customer’s payment has been processed, the order cannot be cancelled by the customer.  The order can, however, be cancelled by Vendor if the required items are not available through system error, warehouse mishap, or similar events, or as a result of events beyond the Vendor’s control (a force majeure).

While we may confirm receipt and processing of orders by email, such confirmation does not constitute our acceptance of your order.  We cannot guarantee that all items displayed on your order confirmation will be in stock at the time your order is shipped. We reserve the right to reject or cancel any order, in whole or in part, at any time prior to shipping.  If we do, we will attempt to notify you using the contact information provided in connection with your order.  You agree not to try to exceed stated quantity limits (except where specifically noted),  violate the terms of any specific offer or promotion, or place orders if we have notified you that you are prohibited from placing orders.

Limited Return Policy

As noted in “Product Descriptions” the only situations in which merchandise may be returned is if it was shipped in error (i.e., the wrong item was shipped as determined by ISBN number) or if the item is defective (e.g., a printing error such as missing or duplicate pages, illegible printing or significant ink bleedthrough).  Any such items must be returned within thirty (30) days of delivery. Customers are therefore encouraged to promptly inspect all items upon arrival to confirm that everything is satisfactory with the order.

Book Buyback Program

Vendor may, at any point, contact customers with offers to re-purchase their used books, either for cash or store credit.  By placing an order, customer expressly consents to Vendor’s contacting them in the future with such offers or programs, any and all of which will be governed by the terms and conditions specified by Vendor from time to time in its discretion.

Refunds, Credits and Re-Shipment

For customers in receipt of incorrect or defective merchandise, the correct item(s), if available, will be shipped as soon as possible, normally within ten (10) days of our receipt of the returned items. If the required items are not available, then the customer will receive a full refund via PayPal of all amounts paid in respect of such items, including shipping, or – at the customer’s option – an account credit against future purchases.  No credit or refund is available in the event of items purchased by a customer that later are placed on special sale or marked down for clearance.
