Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

When he was four years old, “Wolferl” received music lessons in piano, violin and composition from his father. His first performances followed two years later, together with his sister Nannerl, also a child prodigy. He composed his first piece at the age of five and his first opera at the age of 13. The young Mozart traveled, composed, impressed the European nobility and triggered a wave of enthusiasm in the concert halls. Over 1,000 compositions by him have survived. Including the “Magic Flute”, an opera that still enchants children (and adults) today.

Little People, Big Dreams tells the impressive life stories of great people: each of these personalities, whether philosopher, researcher or athlete, has achieved unimaginable things. It all started when they were little: with big dreams.

Als er vier Jahre alt war, erhielt »Wolferl« von seinem Vater Musikunterricht in den Fächern Klavier, Geige und Komposition. Zwei Jahre später folgten erste Auftritte, zusammen mit seiner Schwester Nannerl, auch sie ein Wunderkind. Mit fünf komponierte er sein erstes Stück, mit 13 seine erste Oper. Der junge Mozart reiste, komponierte, beeindruckte den europäischen Hochadel und löste in den Konzertsälen eine Welle der Begeisterung aus. Über 1000 Kompositionen sind von ihm überliefert. Darunter die »Zauberflöte«, eine Oper, die auch heute noch Kinder (und Erwachsene) verzaubert.

Little People, Big Dreams erzählt von den beeindruckenden Lebensgeschichten großer Menschen: Jede dieser Persönlichkeiten, ob Philosophin, Forscherin oder Sportler, hat Unvorstellbares erreicht. Dabei begann alles, als sie noch klein waren: mit großen Träumen.
